The Talking Shop at 19 Market Hill is the town centre base for the North Lincolnshire Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) team which is part of Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH).
The shop provides free talking therapies to North Lincolnshire people over the age of 18 years who are experiencing feelings of depression, low mood, anxiety, and fears or problems coping with daily life and relationships.
The service will be delivering a Stress Management Course for anyone in the town who has been affected by the British Steel announcement. The course will teach coping strategies such as worry management, managing uncertainty, sleep issues and unhelpful thinking.
The course will run on Monday 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th of June between 4.30pm and 6pm at The Plowright Theatre. There will be an opportunity to pick up information from Min Charity and the Recovery College and talk to staff from 3pm.
Local people who are interested in this course are asked to contact the Talking Shop on 01724 867297 or turn up on the day. If you are unable to attend all 4 sessions, please still pop along to the ones you can attend as all material from the course will be supported by a handout.”
